Project: 59 Breaths Beta Testing Program Design – Stress Management Through Science-Backed Breathing

Project Overview

During the pandemic and lockdowns, a time of heightened stress, uncertainty, and isolation, many people were searching for effective ways to manage anxiety. Traditional mindfulness and meditation apps didn’t work for everyone—some wanted a more structured, data-driven approach rather than just passive relaxation techniques.

That’s where 59 Breaths came in—a science-backed breathing program that helped users lower stress and improve HRV (Heart Rate Variability) in just three weeks through guided diaphragmatic breathing techniques.

To bring this vision to life, I created the first investor pitch deck, designed the alpha/beta testing program, and built a tight-knit early adopter community to validate the concept. This project wasn’t just about testing an app—it was about empowering users with knowledge and giving them a simple yet powerful tool to proactively manage stress through their own breath.

Through a mix of user research, onboarding flows, community engagement, and automated email sequences, we built the foundation for a product that truly works.

Why It Matters

In a world where stress is an epidemic, 59 Breaths offers a simple, powerful, and evidence-based tool to regain control over mental and physical well-being. By combining mindfulness, breathwork, and data-driven optimization, this project helped lay the groundwork for a product that has the potential to transform how people manage stress—one breath at a time.
